Do You See Me?
Love is not found when you’re
Off slaying dragons and wizards
When you’re too busy to notice that in fact,
It’s me that’s trapped in the blizzard.
Love is a grand rainbow
As cliché as it may sound
Burning passion, summery oaths,
Bitter hues of feeling unsound.
Love is your touch, your whispers,
Your laugh.
Love’s not that guy in the cute brown shirt or even that guy with the hot bod,
Not even by half.
Love is not what it seems to be
Happiness and bunnies and flowers and trees,
It’s a time of searching, in that blizzard,
Do you see me?
