I have a soul
At least think
I never looked
At myself to deep
I was afraid
Of what I’d find
If I looked
Too deep
What if I was
Petty
Or mean
Or even cold?
I was afraid
That I would see
The dark
That consumes.
It devours
My life
Eating away
At my light
What will
Happen
If it goes out?
Death?
I don’t
Want to
Die
Yet
I have
Dreams
That need
Fulfilled.
… If I have dreams
Does that mean
I have
A soul?
