"Your mind is like a parachute, it doesn't work unless it's open."
-Frank Zappa

The moon is dying on this sorrowful night
The world is changing in this overheated light
The sky in eerie strips of color
A mysterious light comes in one of another
A frozen rose stepped on and crushed
My heart stripped of all of its preciousness and lush
His hand will never be entwined in mine
He'd never want someone of me, for his mind is unkind
He knows his is liked in the eye of beauty
But in the eye of heart...
He and I will always be apart...

The author's comments:
I wrote this September 20, 2010 at night. Mt family moved into an apartment after recently living in a 2400 square foot house and I got mad feeling horribly cramped and feeling as if I had no where to let my anger out without someone being a yard from me. So I took my journal with me out on a walk at night, and this is what I came up with. Hope you like(d)it!
