Yearning
Every fiber of me aches to fly
 I stand my tallest
 Yearning to soar
 But Their words chain me
 They said it isn't possible
 Their words jerk me down
They tie me with invisible chains
I stand shrouded in Their doubt
 Unable to break loose
My heart has already left me
 It skims the skies
 What use is it though
 My aching body is trapped
The only thing I can do is dream
 And stretch my tallest
Everyday I urge my feet to lift
 Yet They keep me here
I'm covered in Their painful ropes
 I cannot shed them
 Despite my increasingly desperate struggles
 Their hands hold me
 While Their locks bind me
 And so I stand
 Wishing to be fee
 Wishing I could fly away
