On a Dark Night
The luminescent moonlight,
made his hair gel shimmer.
She feels that tonight is the night,
her heart starts to simmer.
They stand face to face,
he dribbles a basketball.
Her nervous systems is a lace,
getting tied into a horrendous knot.
She goes on the defensive line,
trying to get closer to him.
She moves her hand over his spine,
his mouth forms a smile.
He swings around her,
catching her off guard.
She falls to the ground laughing,
he smiles as he picks her back up.
They are beginning to sweat,
the moonlight makes the lake shine.
They head over and where the grass is wet,
he jumps in pulling her in with him.
She goes in without a fight,
feeling like she was flying.
Then she dropped down in height,
and into the depths of the water.
When she comes up for air,
she rises right next to his face.
He fixes a few hairs on her head,
then stares into her eyes.
The moment drowned her breath,
still she remained smiling.
She felt the butterflies’ depth,
enter into her stomach.
He hold her in his arms,
and lets out a small "I love you.".
Butterflies multiply and start to swarm,
She mumbles back the same response.
She opens her eyes,
the image is gone.
The colors fade like dyes,
it was only a dream.
