Role Playing
We could be two princesses,
locked away in a tower.
We could be two pirates,
looking for buried treasures.
We once were two fearless explorers,
roaming the uncharted lands of Backyard.
We tried to be soldiers for a day,
but couldn’t take the work from Lieutenant Charlotte.
We were puppies and kitties,
once even fish.
We’ve been mermaids,
met Ariel.
Once, we were even strong enough
to beat our brothers in arm-wrestling matches.
But our favorite role to play
was always being sisters.
For us, being sisters put
the ‘best’ in best friends.
