I once saw an eye
A soft brown eye
On a fine Wednesday day

I stopped to meet
The person in the street
That looked at me that way

He was kind
And well defined
When I said hello to him

The soft brown eye
A kind brown eye
With a bit of love within

We were happy
Content, not unhappy
Until the day he left

He left me with sorrow
Without a tomorrow
And I died bereft

The author's comments:
A picture of a brown eye inspired me to write this, because I was looking up eyes (for art class) and then had one of those "moments" where I felt like writing this :)
