nineteen hours
30 minutes
and one long breath
then i hear you cry
the sound of angels calling down to me
a beautiful baby girl
an new mom i became
only sixteen years of age
to hear you cry
reminds me why
adoption is so hard
she will carry on
till the end
just to see you through
her baby girl
she lost that day
when she signed you away
but out of love
he heart will beat
now with a mom and dad
forever with love
to my baby girl
