I Found Love
I found Love
In the back room of a gas station
 down the road
 It was a fitting name
 Really
Because from the moment I saw her
 I was hooked
 Completely lost
 In her green eyes
 And her hair
 Brown
Tossed back like she didn’t even care
 Because she didn’t
 But one night
 She did care
 She told me
 That night
 In that back room
 That she lived there
 On that mattress
 Where we talked
 And kissed
 And even more than kissed
 She had no folks
 No money
 Alone
 And I told her
 I would always be there
 I loved her
 And the next day
 Love was gone.
I guess it serves me right
 Assuming and all
That she wanted me to love her
 But I don’t regret it
 Not a bit
 Falling in love with Love.
