Insatiable

He's hungry again
clawing at my ribs
breaking me apart.
A long grotesque nail
catches my heart
and soon I am drowned from the inside
in blood.
MORE! he rumbles
shaking my body.
GIVE ME ANOTHER! he screams
so loud
tears start to form.
The pills! he says, I need them!
I throw two Prozac in my mouth
he gobbles them up
and stops tearing up my insides.
But in a while
darkness will take over again
and he will rip me to shreds.
And while he lies
satisfied
he leaves me to deal
with myself.
