When I close my eyes
I see better, deeper
My eyes can only stay closed
For so long, until a force
Of attraction, you, perhaps
Jolts them open, and what can I do
But lose all control and stare
Like looking upon the moon
for the first time
How funny is it then
That when I start to see
I am blinded by your sheer beauty?
If only I could see the future
But I can't
For it'd require me
To close my eyes
And see again.
