What words escaped my lips
to put up this wall between us?
Creating this unbearable silence.
The hours stretch on
and without your voice to fill them,
there is only dead air here.
The quiet gives me time
to over think
to over analyze
to imagine
The worst
Envisioning the end
of all I have ever known,
ruptures my heart
into microscopic pieces,
unable to be put back together.
