An empty room,
An untouched notebook,
A vacant set of swings,
Or a silent night.
The curtains are drawn,
Exposing an ugly view
Of the neighbors’
2-story.
Candide, Teen Vogue, and the Bible
Lay on the floor.
Lines and lines
Of verse,
Poetry and prose,
Research and notes,
Consume
These pages.
Sisters;
Four
Swing,
Pumping their legs.
Giving their thoughts
To the sky.
Thoughts:
Spoken like conversation
In her head.
They’ll formulate
And reflect
All night long.
