Vanishing Smiles
Grin from ear to ear
 and watch it disappear.
 With a harsh action,
 gone in a fraction.

 Kind words don’t always heal,
 smiles aren’t always real.
Nothing vanishes sooner than a smile
but won’t you stay for a while?

 I’m begging you please,
 I’m down on my knees.
My heart can’t take these questions,
 learn from my expression.

From far away it might seem true,
but I’ve done a good job of fooling you.
