Dormancy
My body aches.
Each tired limb
screams
for that sweet warm embrace,
every atom
yearning to succumb to the unyielding grasp.
Only my mind
quietly plotting against my sanity
remains unperturbed,
resisting
my very plea for mercy
I
slump
against the desk
but still my stubborn thoughts
wont relent
and I stagger on
through day and night,
the broken inmate
of this crazed world
I carry on fighting
my own internal war
