Never The Best Road
At night I sit alone and dream,
To find you in my waking hours.
At times I think of ways to leave,
The lonely heights of my lonely towers.

I wish that every day I’ll find,
Someone to set me free from life.
Only knowing I’m lost in my mind,
Only knowing my way out is a knife.

Cut me out of this restricting ribbon,
Unchain me or chain me more.
Whatever it is, I’ll slowly be forgetting,
 Everything I knew before.

Lose me behind in the clearing,
Find me again in the brush.
I can see the dust is finally setting,
Leaving in a hurry, departing in a rush.
