Where can one run,
When they hide from their shadow?
How can I hide,
From this body now sallow?
Resolutions lie in methods unorthodox,
in accordance to my norm.
A release: too rash
To retrieve: too far

A living lie
Is how we fair.
We are one being,
In the conscious day.
But as the shadows reveal,
Our being tears away.

Opposing forces united,
Will never resolve.
The disputes too many,
Two kingdoms fall.

In a fog of romance,
The opposites attract.
But as the veil is lifted,
Our hearts detach.

Too different to agree,
Too alike to leave...
We are stuck in limbo,
For eternity

Wow I really don't check this enough haha. Well, in reality this poem represents a former relationship, and the suffocating dilemma's within it. A lot of it is the inner arguments in my head, knowing that letting go of the relationship is healthy, but holding on was vital all the same. I always have appreciated your comments :) they make my writing worth while

A notion of doubt or disappointment in yourself? The internal conflict is vivid and strong. Especially that we are all damned, as in your ending. Perhaps to mean that the conflictions are either deleterious, or infinite. Which is it?
