Ashes
Through the ashes of the pain,
Rise again the simple days.
Chase away what is to chase,
Cast away for we disgrace.
Tell me now oh mother moon,
What have I done to you.
Still the raven sings it’s song,
Even after we have been gone.
So here we are after the fact,
Standing now with all we lack.
Can’t you try to help us now?
All the failure,
All the doubt.
It’s not like the staring is better though,
Mother moon,
You circle so slow.
Keep me now,
Hide me low.
Store us away,
No one would know.
