alone
Lost words
Hopeless sorrow
Cold evenings alone
Reaching for something
That’s out of your reach
You try so hard not to cry
But every tear stings your face
And leaves a mark
A mark of hate and sorrow
How you want to escape
But you’re just pulled back
By your fear
There’s nothing more you can do now
But sit by and watch it happen
As 1000 tears fall from your eyes
You don’t have freedom
You don’t have a choice
So every night you’ll sit there
Alone
And be tortured by the one you love
Because freedom seems so far away
