Favorite Quote:
"Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday."

Gleaming, shining
Hoping
So much potential embedded in her hungry gaze
A shaky foot steps forward into life’s promises
Leaps back at the sight of the world’s first rejection
She is strong
Carefully guarding a beautiful innocence
That brought laughter through her tears
I can hear that hollow laughter
Echo through my ears
A far-off memory
She needs to see return
Deserving a guiding light
To push her into joy
But I am helpless.
I must watch her fall,
Scrape off her bruised knee
And take that second shaky step
