I Have My Pride
I'm rich, wealthy,
 beautiful and have plenty.
 When they slander me,
 I backbite them,
 because I have my pride.
 When they punch me,
I punch and kick them back,
 because I have my pride.
 But when I saw
 that little boy
 tired, hungry, and cold,
 I sat down beside him,
 and offered comfort,
 because that could've been me.
 I could have been poor,
 ugly and hungry.
 So I realize
 that sometimes
 I can sacrifice my pride.
 Who cares if I'm pretty,
 rich or famous,
 because what matters
 is who I am,
 on the inside.
