Struggle
I watch as our worlds crash, crumble, erode.
The heavens turn black, bleak, glum.
We all struggle to numb.
Numb our selves from the pain
Coursing through our veins.
We all struggle to climb.
Climb ourselves to the top
Of the deep, dank, dark
Hole we fell into.
I see that no one is truly happy.
The saddest realization I've come to
All those I know are
Struggling, depressed, stressed.
I feel a sickening, tight feeling in my chest
As I realize there is no rest
For the weak and the poor.
They must struggle forevermore.
