Your Weapon, Your Words
You cut into my skin then say my wounds won’t mend.
I look you in the eye and say I don’t mind.
Your weapon is only your words, my wounds just hurt feelings; they won’t last forever.
You wait for me to cry, to break.
I merely stare at you with a bored expression, showing you I don’t care.
For I know your taunts are just to make you feel better about yourself
You try to hurt others by pointing out what you think are their flaws
But really they just make them who they are.
