Blind
Many emotions staring back through the mirror
Like a puzzle, each piece, carefully chosen
 From a selection of many
Swaddled in a cocoon of flaws and imperfections
 Each blemish, embraced then erased

 Perfection

 Concealing true emotions under cosmetics
Truth is, you couldn’t handle the truth
 Leaving you speechless
A fake persona, feeding lies, making you vulnerable
Sitting in a puddle of your own various facades

 Numb

 Stripped of your conception
Left alone to endure the bruises
Not completely seen at first glance
A deep mystery, yet beautiful simplicity
Taken back by the intricate detail of every scar

 Misunderstood

Submerged in the waters of innocence
Purifying the soul and cleansing the mind
Memories lost in the realm of time
Internally shattered, in the fetal position
Just waiting for a shooting star
