Picture Frame
It’s a moment frozen
 Forever in time,
 Preserved for eternity
 As life flies past you
 And hard as you try
 To hold on,
 The clock hand
 Slips out of your grip
 And keeps turning
 Ever faster.
 But in the confines
 Of this frame
 The second hand stops.
 There’s no moving forward,
 Nor looking back,
 Only that instant.
 And in that instant
 I could stay forever
 Because I see you
 Smiling,
  And not for the camera,
 For me,
 And I for you
 As I rest my head
 On your shoulder.
 And I wish
 I could be
 Contently contained
 In that moment,
 Caught inside
 A picture frame.
