No More
I stare into the deep pools of glass
Disappointed with the reflection
Shadows lurk behind me
But somewhere I cannot see
The past of mock
Like nails on a chalkboard
They corner you
And never let you be free
I am sick of hiding
Who I really am
I will no longer cover myself in makeup
Just for a thin pleasure
I will paint
I will sing
Even though they want me to join the normal
I will defy the ordinary
So today I will smash the mirror
No more will I care
I really don’t care about my looks
But I care for the looks on the inside
So I will cry out to the world
No more
Send a message to all you know
Be yourself and be heard
