I Sit There Waiting
I sit there waiting
Hoping everything will go well
Your ride pulls up close
I immediately get nervous
You step out of the car
My eyes are stunned
The simple beauty of your
Body, legs, face, and amazing eyes
“Please don’t mess this up”
I whisper under my breath
I’m so nervous I don’t even hug you
Thinking it maybe to much
So far so good
I think to myself
Don’t do anything stupid
Or I’ll hate myself forever
Talking to you I find out
Your more like me then I thought
Maybe the pains over
Maybe I’ve found the one
I can’t stopping imagining
About how my life would be
With you in it
I couldn’t stop smiling
My life with you would be
Amazing
Wonderful
Simply perfect
Then it happens
I lean in
For that first kiss
You follow my lead
And we kiss
My body felt weak
My mind went blank
As your lips touched mine
Now all I could think of was
Did I find the one?
My mind kept shouting
Yes!
And for the first time
My heart couldn’t not agree
My mind and my heart both agreed
That SHE
Is the one for me
