Salt the Earth
My mind only wanders
 to your destination;
 full of hidden meanings,
 and your disguising smile.

My heart aches from your memories.
Your cruel words wrap around my neck.
My heart pounds as you constrict.
 And my breath stops.

This building that housed my doubt,
 where I carved intricate structures:
your voice engraved into my skin,
 has been long-since abandoned.

 I will burn it down,
 and salt the Earth.
 I will scorch it all,
 and rebuild somewhere else.

 Despite my fear, my anger,
 my sorrow, my love,
I will move on from this.
And you will be exiled to the back of my mind.
