I Hope
Hope lives in
All of us.
It reminds of us that
There is something
Better out there.
Hope makes us pray
That tomorrow will be
A better day.
It is the light
At the end of
A dark tunnel.
It is the smile
We get at the end
Of the day.
It is the dream
That wakes us up
From a nightmare.
It is the miracle
After every disaster.
Yet, sometimes we hope
For silly things.
We hope that one-day
That guy across the room
Will notice us.
We hope to get
A new convertible
For our birthday.
We hope to one day
Be millionaires.
But today I hope that one-day
All the children will have a home.
That one-day
We will end poverty.
I hope that one-day
There will be a cure for cancer.
That maybe one-day
Everyone will see that all you need
To do is hope.
