Growing up
Innocence is stripped away with age
preserved by words, the ink and page
washed away will be our fears
by wisdom gathered through the years
life can hit you like a runaway train
responsibility can cause love and pain
the world tries to find what it will take
to bend your will, don't let it break
but also don't stay in your ways
or soon will come your end of days
don't break down when bonds are snapped
just brush it off, learn to adapt
if you lose the path when your alone
cut through the dark and make your own
 experience love, avoid the strife
just grow up and live your life
