Toy love
Excuse me, it is awfully rude
To always be in my head
And making me think naughty things
Like wanting you in bed
I’m feeling sick, and rest assured
I’m plastered to my phone
So if you’ll please take some advice
And just leave me alone
Those deep blue eyes, and secret smile
They do make my heart flutter
And when I’m falling into sleep
It is your name that I mutter
It’s not so nice to make all that
I do a complete haze
Finding ways to be with you’s like
going through a maze
I’ll talk until my throat is sore
Yet never feel at rest
Each word you whisper to my ear
Sends pounding through my chest
You’re still here, are you not?
My brain is turning into mush
To find the words to ask you out
May require a little push
Do I want to? Do I dare?
Do I fall into your trap?
Or do I make the space between us
Slightly more than just a gap?
I’ll never know, I’ll never try
To understand this boy
But please just know, my love for you
Is more than just a toy
