Death Stood Beside Me
She was lying there, barely breathing
He was sitting on the foot of the bed sobbing
I was standing there trying to ignore the fact that she was dying and I could do nothing about it.
Then... I felt the chill in the room and I knew he was there.
Death was standing beside me, laughing in my face.
...Then, she exhaled once more.
And that was the end of not just her, but everyone who ever loved her
