Only at a distance
She doesn’t know how to let people in
 To share emotion
She keeps people at a distance
Knowing they’ll leave her in the end
 It’s the way of life
 Her life
She tries to hide her pain
And it works out very well
No one knows she’s dying inside
And there is no one she would tell
She doesn’t know how to be open
 How to let people care
 To stop pushing people away
She doesn’t know if they will go
But it’s the only possible result
If she is closed off maybe it won’t hurt
