Little Girl
Hold my hand little girl
 It will be alright
He has hurt you, I know
 Your his little girl
 But that’s wasn’t good enough
Wasn’t good enough for him to stay

He picked a woman over you
Turned his back on his angel
He didn’t see you lose your first tooth
Or hold your hand on the first day of school
Nor did he hold you in the night
And tell you the monsters aren’t real

 He left you little girl
So you cleaned up your mothers tears
Hardened a little inside, grew up fast
And you cried by yourself at night

Little girl you see your father
 On this day and that
But he left you, that won’t change
No matter how many times he comes back

You can’t bring him back little girl
He let go of something presious
Its not your fault, he was stupid
 He left you little girl
 But you are strong
You can live with his abandoment
I am inside you, lean on me
You can be your own rock
