Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional.

the truth and it's lies
they're what we despise
we hate them yet love them
we always look in their eyes
they sooth us with words
and create feelings absurd
why are the lies the ones we hold dear
yet we hear the truth but don't dare go near
are we afraid to face reality
we so easily stop to insanity
when we're hurt we face gravity
and those truth and lies become reality
one person hurt while another one laughs
a third person cries
and the victim nearly dies
years later when your strong
you try to carry on
you push through the crime and feel outside shine
however on the inside in truth you feel shame
he hurt you
he left
hid on of sight
he didn't come back to you
he broke your precious light
in essence he gave you a gift
one you may not see
but he made you stronger
enough to face reality
see lies are like cowards
first to hit and cold at the heart
but you are the sun
what enters
as torn
apart

love and hate
truth and lies
in learning both
the heart solely cries

life had i loved the more
had it but passed away
as quietly as the day
ebbs from the darkening star.
