clouded
Mourning dew stretches the lawn
And I sit by the sandy beaches
 Wondering: when will they understand?
I look towards the endless surf
 Imagining a fogless bottom
 And it travels
 On the creature-filled floor
 Without end
Whisking onwards past the luminous waves
 Past colorful fish
 Past emerald seaweed
 Past fearsome monsters
 Imagination creates
 And it dawns:
 They will never
As I sit by the timeless lake:
 They will never
