Achulophobia
I blink once,

 an hour passes.

 I blink twice,

hardly a second has gone by

The silence creeps into my ears, whispering.

 I blink thrice.

 Out of the darkness,

 faces,

 twisted and disfigured,

 stare back.

 Eyes darting back and forth,

Their blood stained hands reach forward.

 I cover my face,

but you can't hide from imagination.

Are you afraid of the dark?
