Nature Intervened
And so it is,
 the grass tied
 knots around
 our ankles.

 The trees spread
 their limbs to
 bind our arms
 to our sides.

 The critters living
 between our toes
 came out and
 pinned our nails
 to the earth.

 And so it is,
 Nature and all
 her beauty
 wanted us stuck
 in that moment
 so that we may
 release what binds
 itself tightly to
 our torsos.

 I don’t know
 about you,
 but I breathe
 a lot easier now.

 Your turn.
