I Dream, Abandoned

From blackness, I awake
in your image, I imagine
a new fate
an everlasting glow
as the dawn of tomorrow
arises from the dusk of today
I say
I'll remember to forget you
And hopefully, forget to remember you
with hope
I awake to your image
in blackness I am cloaked
I dream that you dream
but your mind is shrouded
and I'm left to dream
abandoned
Shrouded, I awake
and seek sense
and, for some reason, seek reason
and dream you have feeling
how easily I forget
that the feelings you remember
and seek
you abandoned
