A Chance
I cried my eyes out tonight
I wish you were here
I cried my eyes out
Then drowned in the tears
You tried to help
You did your best
Too bad it’s not me
You had to impress
I want to dance
You want that too
I want a chance
To stop feeling blue
It comes and it goes
Another year gone by
It different though
Because this time
We didn’t get a chance
She looked us right in the eyes
She told us she chose those below us
Because of their size
They’re smaller
They’re better
Oh he** they’re not
It’s just the smaller size
That’s all that they got
We have the talent
The experience, the strength
They have the size
Not to mention a lower rank
We deserve a chance
We deserve our time
Our time to dance
Our time to shine
You say they’re better
We say they’re not
But if we speak up
Then we all lose our spots
We work our tails off
Then we work some more
We try and we try
But we still get the door
I cried my eyes out tonight
I wish you were here
I cried my eyes out
Then drowned in the tears
