I prayed to God (for a close friend)

I prayed to God,
show me and angel
and I'll paint you one.
Let me hear it's voice
and I will sing a thousand
songs with it.
Let me be held in it's
strong grasp and I will never leave it.
Let me see it's handsome face
and I will write a million
poems prasing it.
Let me feel it's love
and I will love even longer for it.
I prayed to God
show me an angel, please,
and He showed you to me
