In my mind
I am lost
In a stormy sea
One a boat all alone
Because no one understands
In my mind
I am a flower
Standing and growing
But other flowers move in
All around me
And block my light
Just to see me wilt
In my mind
I am a candle
With an eternal flame
Beautiful on the outside
But slowly melting away
In my mind
I feel like crying
And shouting at the world
But I keep smiling
Because that is what is expected
In reality
I am surrounded by people
Who carry on, who have no idea
What is going on
In my mind
