Life my friends is a mysterious journey,
A maze that might not end,
A battle within to gain the freedom,
With hope to soften the dread,
Dreams for courage to believe in yourself,
Wishes and promises push us forward,
But still nothing to help the dismay,

Where was the secret recipe that would guide you through the days?
Where was that friend to lean on at times of pain and despair?
Where were the hands of your parents to guide you along the way?
Or those teachers to help you get ready for trouble coming your way,
Where were those classmates who made you laugh and cheered you through the day?
Or those people who believed in you and listened to what you had to say,
Where were all these people when you needed them the most?
To support you through life’s hardships and help you up the road,
Where were all the smiles where were all the laughs,
Where were all those joyful faces that helped you forget your past?
Where was all that happiness?
Where was all that glee?
Where were all those people to brighten up your journey?
My friends, open up your eyes and you will then see,
There are all those people where you needed them to be.
