Souless Hearts and Heartless Souls

i would love you to death
if only I could die
and if i were dead
i would love you to life
but streets cram full
of people looking for a soul
or mate
but neither both nor none
so since i am lost
i will give you the key
to a mansion down the way
by the street
ghosts of old lovers wait
to see the peace
but the peace is too far away
