Passion
Thou may steal my heart,
Torture my soul,
But steal my passion?
Thou may not.
My passion will live,
Even when I do not.
For my passion,
It is endless.
You may beat me,
Till I'm black and blue,
But break me?
Thou shall never.
For it is impossible to break someone,
When their passion and soul is in everything,
Everything they play.
Thou may steal my heart,
Torture my soul,
But to steal my passion,
Thou may not.
For my passion lives within,
Ever piece my hands have ever shaped,
Every note my fingers have labored over.
My passion lives within my music,
So my passion will live,
Even when I do not.
