I Once Was Lost
I wander around
Not Knowing where to go
Or what to do
Everyone seems to be doing something
But me
I'm stuck at a standstill
I'm without a map
Without a guide
Without someone to help
Because of this
I'm on my own
To find where I fit in
Like a puzzle with all its pieces
There's no room for me
I'm up this creek
I have a paddle
But I don't have a compass
A tracker
Or GPS
I'll find a way
To get back to
My sense of self direction
I'll make it through
These next four years
With bravery
Not with homesick tears
