Thanksfor Listening
She couldn’t see him
But she felt his presence
She could hear his quiet voice
Whispering in her ear
“Tell me what’s wrong”
She began to cry as she
Told him her story
About betrayal and deceit
Rejection and hate
When there was no more to tell
No more tears left to cry
She heard his gentle voice
“It’ll be okay
I knew your story
Before you were conceived
I knew what you would go through
I feel your pain”
She felt him wrap his
Arms around her
She felt at peace
Peace that she had
Never felt before
She smiled
“Thank you for listening”
