Little Bird
Big brown eyes and rosy sunkissed cheeks are all I came to see, never did I think they'd leave and run away to hide beneath the sea.
The smile faded, as the tears collected and began to show what was underneath.
No hand to hold or sunshine to bear, for all of it had leaked.
A broken nest filled with hollow eggs, yet perfect for the eye to see.
Its twigs intwined lightly, curling at the tips, but never support underneath.
Little girl, little girl, with no love to breathe, flew away, scared of her broken wings that scratched her fragile heart and never left it be.
