No longer a unit.
Standing side by side.
Yet I think about you everyday, Everyday tears fill my eyes.

What we were,
Used to be
Feels erased,
A fading memory.

One that began
Long ago.
One that saved me
From being alone.

As that memory fades
And I have become lonesome,
You'll always have a piece of my heart.
A heart that's dark and broken.

This is absolutely wonderful. I love the dark intensity of it, and he fact that all of those feelings are so common and true. Why does love have to be so deceiving and painful at times? I don't know, but someday it shall work out for us! Well done
