Sleeping Beauty

The whole world's gone blurry,
the letters dancing in front of my face,
the teachers words have vanished,
leaving silence in their place,
My eyes feel droopy,
I try to keep my mouth from going slack,
but my brian won't respond,
i can't straighten my back,
My eyelids leave and fly away,
metal shutters are put in instead,
while the fog of tiredness arises,
it creeps into my head,
I know i can't fight it,
that long night's done a number,
so i finish closing my eyes,
and escape into slumber.
